Composer(s): Yuvan Shankar Raja

A fusion of Western and Arabic elements, Meherezylaa works quite well as festive dance track teeming with pep and vigour, its arrangements marked by slinky synth sounds, a groovy thump, and a hymnal solo featuring Yuvan's sister Bhavatharani Raja. Thunderous percussion welcomes Voice of Unity, a frenzied rap piece that packs a dizzying chaotic rush and cheerleader chants led by Arivu. In Dead End, a late album highlight, Meherezylaa's melodious interlude is juxtaposed against a brooding, melancholic base, while the other theme offerings find the composer pairing slick electronics with manipulated vocal effects and bombastic riffs to conjure an assortment of industrial-leaning cuts. Yuvan Shankar Raja hits all the expected beats and nothing more in Maanaadu.
