Music Review: Sunny (Malayalam)
Composer(s): Sankar Sharma

Sheathed in dreamy pulses of piano and gentle guitar strums, Nee Varum is at once fluttering and gossamer, imbued with an otherworldly quality that brings to forefront the chemistry between K. S. Harisankar's vocals and the enchanting arrangement that ornaments the melody. Harisankar is also the voice of Ini Dooram, which traverses the same soundscape as its predecessor but is driven by a quietly upward thrust that's propelled by throbbing beats and a soaring chorus that add further weight to the reflective track, creating a warm, cushiony sound. In Idam Vare, the hook of Ini Dooram gets its own centrepiece treatment, with composer Sharma's vocals accompanied by lush meadows of harmonies and layers of soft, radiant texture. Sankar Sharma deftly balances experimentation with soul in Sunny, resulting in a beautifully serene piece of work.
