The Baltimore duo of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally are finally returning to the music scene, following up 2018's 7 with an 18-song double album titled Once Twice Melody that's set to arrive next February (2/18), but will also be released in four chapters over the next four months. The first taste of what to expect arrives today in the form of an EP that includes the title song, Superstar, Pink Funeral and Though Me, each of which won't upend or surprise anyone's perceptions of Beach House. That's to say, the songs capture the band's traditional dreamy aesthetic replete with otherworldly organs, while making for a gorgeous collision of somber electronic sounds, shimmering synth passages and intense guitar strums that glide along a surreal, psychedelic soundscape.
