Listen: Suresh Peters & Band's "Freedom"

Suresh Peters is back and how! Partnering with Shalini Mohan (vocals), Sharan Rao, Lionel Jude (keyboard), Manjunath N. S. (drums), and Milan Mandalia and Sanjay Chandrakanth (guitar), mathematician, singer and erstwhile A. R. Rahman collaborator unleashes a konnakol-backed instrumental fusion entitled Freedom, an absolute onslaught of a rock piece replete with infectious riffs, heady percussion (that beatboxing!) and buoyant rhythms, erupting into a burst of sonic colour that's by turns eclectic and undeniably appealing. It's six minutes long but I could hang with this one at twice that length. Interestingly, the track has been mastered by Pravin Mani, another of Rahman's acolytes. Have it a go below -
