Music Review: Krack (Telugu)
Composer(s): S. Thaman
Listen to the songs online here: Gaana
Yet another Thaman soundtrack, but this time in Telugu. Ramya Behara is flawless in her rendition of the strings-laden melody Korameesam Polisoda, even as Balega Tagilavey Bangaram blatantly lifts its hook from El Neon's reggae-inspired Latinate instrumental piece Selva (Milagro De Primavera). But to his credit, Thaman tweaks the tune with classical flourishes that makes it an addictive listen. As if this stumble isn't enough, the overwhelming ennui works against Mass Biriyani and Bhoom Bhaddhal, with both the songs turning out to be commonplace dancefloor fillers that sound recycled, generic and dated. Krack finds Thaman rehashing his own efforts from a decade ago for a disappointing, listless outing.
