Music Review: Halal Love Story (Malayalam)
Composer(s): Bijibal, Shahabaz Aman

Bijibal's contribution to Halal Love Story arrives in the form of Muttathu, a splendorous breeze of sparsely arranged melody led by an exceptional Soumya Ramakrishnan, even as the composer puts together a pretty tapestry of tasteful guitar strums and veena. Islamic sounds dominate the lilting religious paean Sundaranayavane, tuned and sung by Shahabaz Aman, but Sandeep Mohan's banjo is the real clincher, while Bismillah carries a folksy tilt to it, with Aman's vocals shadowed closely by a layer of harmonium and its buoyant rhythm complemented by a beautiful blend of guitar riffs, mandolin and ukulele. Bijibal and Shahabaz Aman concoct a soft and ear-pleasing soundtrack for Halal Love Story.
