Backed by brassy retro-styled arrangements, Ennanga Sir Unga Sattam is appealing enough in Arandhai Bava and K. Perumal's vocals. Ola Ola Kudisayila's gossamer melody is almost ilaiyaraaja'esque (and Santhosh Narayanan-like), in a pleasant way that is, topped by an alluring rendition from Murugavel and Karthika Vaidyanathan, while Jasmine-u blends retro-folk sounds in what can only be described as delightful. Chellamma is captivating, mutating between folk and melody effortlessly, at the same time propped up fabulously on the vocal front by Lalitha Sudha alongside the composer himself. Kalyani Nair excels as usual in the anthemic Halla Bol, but in Mannar Mannan Theme, Sean Roldan offers an incredibly fresh perspective by trading its Tamil folk base for an innovative accordion-laced western alt-rock sound. Roldan wows with a beguiling Joker, a soundtrack worth a listen just for Chellamma.
