Music Review: Cute Kameena (Hindi)

Twinkle Twinkle is mighty fun, a little evocative of Ghanchakkar's Lazy Lad, but solid singing from Payal Dev nonetheless. In Single Chal Riya Hu, Krsna concocts a lovely melody, backed by a fantastic Mohit Chauhan, that the composer himself takes over in its other slow, even-more-beautiful Reprise version. Krsna sings Da Di Da Da too, the dominant sitar in the arrangements easily emerging the highpoint of the rhythmic number, while Shreya Ghoshal undeniably rocks the energetic, retro-styled Shaam Hote Hi and Rafa Dafa. Javed Ali sounds as great as ever in the delightful qawwali Shehar Mehboob Hai Ji, a song that lovingly brings back memories of the excellent Rangrez from the composer. Cute Kameena's music is cute and fabulous!
