P. Jayachandran and Chitra Arun handle with finesse the classical tune of Pandu Pandaaro Kondu and giving them the perfect company is a simple arrangement featuring ghatam, tabla and veena. Kusruthi Kuppaaya Kaara's semi-classical fusion is almost Sharreth-like, and yet works fabulously in Uday Ramachandran's superb vocals and its lovely assortment of chenda, flute, nadaswaram and violins. Kandittundo Ningalu is however the undisputed winner, binding you over with an arresting folk tune and a top-notch singing by Peethambara Menon. Traditional and uniquely Keralite, Bijibal's My God is refreshing and a welcome respite.
