Music Review: Jamna Pyari (Malayalam)
Composer(s): Gopi Sundar

Vasoottan makes for a fun listen, in part to the lively vocals of Franco (mimicking a Thrissur slang) and a catchy chorus, while giving a sneak-peek into the life of the eponymous auto-driver. The title song, delivered by Sachin Warrier and Maqbool, incorporates a lovely folk tune, and the Padayappa-like Murugappa, with its Tamil folk base comprising of thavil and nadaswaram, is adequate, the ennui mitigated to some extent by Vijay Yesudas and Jassie Gift on the mic. Not one of Gopi Sundar's best, but Jamna Pyari is perfectly serviceable.
