Music Review: Bhaag Johnny (Hindi)

For the foot-tapping Daddy Mummy, Devi Sri Prasad reuses his original Telugu hit Aakalesthe (Shankar Dada Zindabad), but with the lyrics ported from its Tamil version (Villu). And my God, they make you cringe! Aankhon Aankhon is every bit the typical Yo Yo Honey Singh party song, while Arko reworks Sonu Nigam-sung Iss Qadar Pyar Hai (Deewana), bringing in Ankit Tiwari to croon the melody. Ankit is okay, but I wish they had gotten rid of that excessive auto-tune. Meri Zindagi's contemplative tune works adequately in Rahul Vaidya's superb vocals, but Mithoon brings back the Maula Mere charm in the beautifully composed sufi Kinna Sona. Bhaag Johnny stands out, thanks to Mithoon!
