Music Review: Azhar (Hindi)

Amaal Mallik scores a sedate melody in Bol Do Na Zara, that his brother Armaan Malik handles very well, while in Tu Hi Na Jaane, Sonu Nigam and Prakriti Kakar's beautiful singing and Mallik's competent rock-classical blend make it a worthwhile listen. Jeetne Le Liye, Mallik's third offering, despite K. K.'s rousing rendition, suffers from an overwhelming sense of familiarity, and in Itni Si Baat Hain, Pritam gets to show his melodious side that shines in Arijit Singh's vocals. DJ Chetas, for his part, pitches in with a harmless remix of Kalyanji-Anandji's Oye Oye, which turns out to be mostly forgettable. Azhar is Amaal's show!
