Listen: Fleet Foxes' "Shore"

Robin Pecknold-led Fleet Foxes haven't had a release since their 2017 stunner Crack-Up, but that changes today with the debut of Shore, the Seattle-based indie-folk outfit's fourth studio album which Pecknold calls an "intense two-year labor of love." Also accompanying the release is a 55-minute long "road-movie depicting Northwest American landscapes and the people and animals that inhabit them." Timed in sync with the autumnal equinox, Shore is a gorgeous folk-rock reverie and a forward-leaning effort, complete with soaring harmonies, that expands genre boundaries and makes for a welcome surprise.
