Listen: Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever's "She's There"
If it isn't amply clear by now, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are a band to watch out for. Riding on a pattern of jangly, propulsive earworms that seem to rush forward steadily before ebbing to a sugary climactic crest, the Melbourne five-piece have a carved a niche for themselves that's at once upbeat and a perfect slice of well-crafted guitar-pop. Now, it appears Cars in Space, which they released earlier this February, was just a prelude to a whole new album, called Sideways To New Italy, that will be out in June (6/5). That's not all. They've also shared a new single from the forthcoming project entitled She's There, which operates just exactly like an RBCF song should, with guitar and vocal layers careening and colliding into each other, fusing together seamlessly like atoms. Give it an earful right below, alongside my favourite French Press -
