The Radio Dept. are known for their warm inviting music that's easy to retreat into, and while the Swedish shoegaze act's previous album Running Out of Love carried a pronounced techno edge coupled with a hazy production style (remember Swedish Guns and We Got Game?), the duo of Johan Duncanson and Martin Larsson seem to be sliding back into their patented brand of reverb-laden beautifully-rendered pop. Now, close on the heels of the wistful folky melody The Absence of Birds that was released last month, we're getting to hear yet another brand new track entitled You Fear The Wrong Thing Baby, a shimmery slice of delicate dream-pop that's at once evocative and entrancing.
