Montclair-based Pinegrove is returning with a new full-length titled Marigold this Friday, and just days before the album's official release, we're getting a final taste in the form of The Alarmist, which sees the Evan Stephens Hall-fronted indie-rock outfit reverting to their signature roots comprising of interlocking quiet moments and thrashing chord progressions, even as Hall intones "Marigold in the garden, My heart is out in the garbage," revealing a pronounced country edge.
