Heavy Rotation: Radhan, Ranjin Raj, Sandeep Chowta & More

A quick rundown of some of my favourites from the latest releases across Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu... although I must admit, I can't believe I missed out on a stellar soundtrack like Mehbooba all this time. Sandeep Chowta's almost-eight-month-old outing is simply outstanding, with the man concocting a breezy mix of symphonic melodies that's at once peppy and serene. Ranjin Raj's Poomuthole, on the other hand, would make Ilaiyaraaja so damn proud, harking back to the maestro's 1984 hit Rasathi Unnai sung by P. Jayachandran.
