Music Review: Udaharanam Sujatha (Malayalam)

If there is one thing that Udaharanam Sujatha proves, it's Sithara Krishnakumar's vocal prowess. For the singer impresses not in one, two, but four of the seven songs set to tune by Gopi Sundar, the best being the folk-rock fusion Kanakku. Vijay Yesudas is his typical self in the utterly euphonious Kaatil Ila (that sarangi!), while Sayanora Philip mesmerises with a stupendous rendition of the soaring Unarukayaano. The soundtrack's easy highlight is Kasavu Njoriyumoru Pulari, a lovely semi-classical fusion beautifully tuned and impeccably sung by Gayathri Varma. Udaharanam Sujatha is the best to come from Gopi Sundar in a while!
