Music Review: Meyaadha Maan (Tamil)

Area Gaana is absurdly catchy, ably backed by Ka Ka Bala and a fantastic chorus on the vocal front, while Address Song goes for a self-aware alcohol-induced rant against S. Madhu (the hero's girlfriend, I presume, who left him) that's quite an engaging mix of gaana and blues. Thangachi Song, on the other hand, is relatively straightforward gaana, with Anthony Daasan doing a great job singing the folky melody. Rathina Katti sees Santhosh falling back to his quirky jazz template, but with enticing strings to boot. Pradeep Kumar leads the minimalist melody Megamo Aval beautifully, even as the man, in his Tamil composing debut, wows with two serene melodies Enna Naan Seiven and the reggae-infused Nee Mattum Podhum. Pradeep Kumar and Santhosh Narayanan deliver interesting sounds with Meyaadha Maan.
