Jai Lava Kusa is Devi Sri Prasad at the height of his recycling powers. Almost every beat sounds rehashed, generic and dated, with the sole exception of Nee Kallalona, its predictable arrangement offset by a fantastic singing by Hemachandra and a surprise ominous twist midway. For the most part, DSP fails to entice, offering absolutely nothing to distinguish it from the kind of music we have heard too many times before.
