Music Review: Maari (Tamil)
Composer(s): Anirudh Ravichander

Maari Thara Local, the hero intro track, is 'thara local' kuthu accentuated by a frenetic percussion, but the Swag instrumental which builds on the former's hook is way too short to qualify as a proper track. Maari's karuthu song Thappa Dhaan Theriyum is clearly a Kolaveri leftover tune-wise (particularly that nadaswaram bit), and Bagulu Odayum Dagulu Mari is yet another predictable kuthu, opening with an arresting violin bit that brings back memories of Box (Pandora) Theme song from Yuddham Sei. Where Anirudh really scores is in the catchy rock 'n' roll 80's-like Oru Vidha Aasai (great singing by Vineeth Sreenivasan by the way) and the melodious Tanglish techno duet Don'u Don'u Don'u. Typical Anirudh soundtrack this Maari.
