There suddenly seems to be craze for actors singing in their own films - Ayushmann Khurana (who started the trend in recent times), Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and now Salman Khan, who gets to sing not one but three tracks in his latest outing Kick. Himesh's Jumme Ki Raat is superbly catchy but the repetitive hook gets to your nerves after a point. The enthusiastic rendition by Mika and Palak Muchchal helps it every bit though. Salman's second version is perhaps best avoidable. Hangover is fairly templatish, but Shreya Ghoshal tries as much to salvage it with her sweet voice. Salman Khan's is surprisingly listenable thanks to the vocal processing that must have gone in the background. Tu Hi Tu, in three versions sung by Mohd. Irfan, Neeti Mohan and Salman Khan, is minimal in its arrangements and pleasant on the whole. The customary Yo Yo Honey Singh dance number Yaar Naa Miley is groovy and that's all there is to it. Kick sadly has no kick-ass music!
