Music Review: Shaandaar (Hindi)
Composer(s): Amit Trivedi

Shaam Shaandaar's techno-horn-dhol fusion is interesting, but the song as such is typical Amit Trivedi, reminiscent of his own tunes in Queen and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. The horn features prominently in the retro'ish Gulaabo too, incorporating bits and pieces of Shaam Shaandaar tune-wise. Senti Wali Mental is a super-long qawwali jugalbandi of sorts (apt for a wedding-themed movie, 90's style), though nothing special, as Divya Kumar adds his energy to the Punjabi-styled Raitaa Phailgaya. Where Amit really scores is in the sweeping melody Nazdeekiyan, and accompanying him are singers Neeti Mohan and Nikhil Paul George, doing an equally fine job of the singing. Not so a shaandaar soundtrack, but serviceable nonetheless.
