Music Review: Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

The peppy title track is evocative of Sachin-Jigar and Vishal-Shekhar but Benny Dayal and Anushka Manchanda pull it off effortlessly. Gubbare brings to mind the composer's own Aisha material (Shaam) but still makes for quite an engaging listen. Ash King does a wonderful job of the rock n' roll-inspired Aunty Ji, even as Aahatein rides on a beautiful-sounding Karthik and Shilpa Rao, who are otherwise let down by an uninteresting tune. Kar Chalna Shuru Tu is easily the best of the soundtrack; sung by Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao, the soft-rock melody has everything working for it. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is good, if a little disappointing offering from the highly talented Amit Trivedi.
