Music Review: Haider (Hindi)
Composer(s): Vishal Bhardwaj

The grunge rock tune of Aao Na rides superbly on Vishal Dadlani's impactful singing, even as the Latino-styled Bismil undergoes numerous musical shapeshifts, with Sukhwinder Singh ably leading the song alongside a wonderful orchestration that gets a spruced up middle eastern flavour in Ek Aur Bismil. Khul Kabhi is gorgeously jazzy in the splendid voice of Arijit Singh, who mesmerises with a stellar rendition of the serene Gulon Mein Rang Bhare. Vishal himself goes behind the mic for the haunting and spectacularly arranged (that santoor!) Hindustani semi-classical Jhelum, while his significant other is her splendorous self in the alluring Aaj Ke Naam. So Jao, although quite situational by nature, incorporates a bevy of interesting sounds, and Do Jahaan's oldie-like mellow piece is Suresh Wadkar's show with Shraddha Kapoor's adequate vocal support. Vishal Bhardwaj shines as usual with Haider!
