The dance-worthy Khalifa (A. R. Rahman et al), its similarity to Magudi Magudi (Kadal) aside, has a racy electrifying appeal, but is undone by an overdose of techno elements in the interludes. In sharp contrast is the mellifluous earworm Maaloom, the lovely guitar'y melody riding on pitch-perfect vocals from Jonita Gandhi, Hriday Gattani and Nakash Aziz. Rahman's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (or Ekk Deewana Tha) influence is clearly evident in the breezy Ala Hada, while the percussion driven Mawali Qawwali is a fantastic world music fusion bolstered by Raghav Mathur and Tanvi Shah. Hriday Gattani's lively rendition of the pop piece Tu Shining is its highlight, as are Shweta Pandit and Nakash Aziz in the serene harmony Beqasoor. Not one of his best, but A. R. Rahman serves up an adequately fun, peppy and youthful soundtrack with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.
