Music Review: Ivan Veramathiri (Tamil)
Composer(s): C. Sathya
Film: Ivan Veramathiri
Malaya Porattala, with its hard-rock flavor, works passably, while Madhushree's superb rendition helps the serene Ennai Maranthaen take off beautifully. Ranga Ranga is characterized by a rather highly rhythmic tune, and the orchestration aptly complements it. Rita too does a great job crooning the track. Anand Aravindakshan and Nivas's intense vocals power the plaintive Thanimayile, its sweeping western classical arrangement being the song's highpoint. Loveulla's (C. Sathya) folk base is engrossing to satisfactory effect, and in Balram's heartfelt voice comes the short and effective Idhuthaan. Although not dramatically new, C. Sathya's Ivan Veramathiri is a decent enough listen.
