Music Review: Pannaiyarum Padminiyum (Tamil)

Crooned by a motley of singers, Enga Ooru Vandi adequately captures the liveliness of the proceedings, while Onakkaga Poranthaenae is a listener's delight with its retro flourishes and neat period transitions. Its 90's styled Ilaiyaraaja'esque variant Enakkaaga Poranthaayae works brilliantly in equal measure. Karthik and Prashanthini's breezy singing makes Kadhal Vandhaacho a pleasant melody, with Pesuraen Pesuraen closing the soundtrack on a highly rustic note if one can get past the composer's passable rendition. Justin Prabhakaran makes a solid debut with Pannaiyarum Padminiyum.
