Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) continues its downward slide with its shares being traded at $26.80 (at the time of writing this article), down close to a 30 percent of its initial value. Notwithstanding the plunge, the tech giant is rumored to be having plans to release a Facebook smartphone by next year, according to NYT.

Just after news came that Angry Birds, Tango and the likes cannot be installed on Nokia Lumia 610, the Finnish phone manufacturer has come out stating that an Angry Birds version optimized for lower memory devices will be out soon.

And what say, Samsung's nature inspired next Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy S III, has opened up for sale across several countries (on June 21st in the US as per the latest news). In India, the quad-core processor powered Android 4.0 running phone is being sold at a rather steep market price of 43180, which can decidedly put off customers who have been yearning to get their hands on it.

Latest leaked photos of the new iPhone show an elongated form factor, there by more or less confirming a 4 inch screen for the upcoming smartphone from Apple. Meanwhile, Google is all set to announce a next dimension to their popular Google Maps service, and what makes it interesting is the fact that the announcement is likely to take place just days ahead of Apple's WWDC (on June 11), where it is rumored to announce its Google Maps replacement.

In the ongoing Google vs. Oracle tussle, the latter has faced another roadblock after the judge's ruling that the Sequence, Structure and Organization (SSO) of the 37 Java API's in question did not come under the current copyright law and has subsequently dismissed their claims. While it's sure that Oracle will appeal this judgement, it would be rather exciting to see how this plays out.
