Music Review: Uriyadi (Tamil)
Composer(s): Masala Coffee

Masala Coffee's spiffy rock-laden rework of Subramania Bharati's Agnikunjondru is a stadium-rocking banger and Sooraj Santhosh for his part delivers and how! The semi-classical-folk fusion Kaantha takes this euphoric feeling further with a lively tune, topped by an interesting assortment of strings (that kazoo prelude!), and not to mention a fabulous Sooraj and Varun Sunil on the mic. Andony Dasan-sung Maane Maane, in contrast, treads the tried-and-tested gaana route, thus emerging the weaker of the lot. Uriyadi's music is short but highly worth a listen.
