Music Review: Mr. X (Hindi)

Sunn Raha Hai's rehash Tu Jo Hain and Saad Shukrana are instantly recognisable Ankit Tiwari tunes, but it's his third offering Alif Se which stands out, thanks to its lovely sufi touches and thumping techno beats (that recalls to mind Ya Ali from Gangster!). Jeet Gannguli, who follows next, opens with a passable thematic piece Mr. X (Mili Nair), but in the sufi-styled Teri Khushboo the composer scores big time, incorporating a beautiful assortment of sounds and an equally fantastic vocals from Arijit Singh and Palak Muchhal. A run-of-the-mill Bhatt soundtrack, except for Teri Khushboo and Alif Se.
