Heavy Rotation: Arrol Corelli, Pritam Chakraborty, Vishal Chandrashekhar & More

Kahani, with its waltz rhythm, is ear-pleasing and characterised by a spring in its steps, while Main Ki Karaan, sung beautifully by Sonu Nigam and Romy, has a lovely, breezy sound. Tur Kalleyan works well as a hymnal mix of sufi and qawwali'esque elements. Tere Hawaale is cut from the same cloth as the former, featuring a meditative soundbed that finds solid vocal backing in Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao. Pritam has an easy winner on his hands with Laal Singh Chaddha.

Here's a playlist of my new Indian soundtrack favourites Achint (Monica, O My Darling - Farsh Pe Khade, Hills of Malabar), Pritam (Brahmastra - Rasiya), Vivek Sagar (Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali - Kottha Kottha Gaa, Aa Merupemito), Sachin-Jigar (Bhediya - Apna Bana Le), Manan Bhardwaj (Tara Vs Bilal - Sau Rab Di), Vipin Patwa (Code Name Tiranga - Yaar Ve), Arrol Corelli (Kalaga Thalaivan - Hey Puyale, Neeladho), B. Ajaneesh Loknath (Kantara - Singara Siriye, Varaha Roopam, Gandhada Gudi - Aleya Kare), Rochak Kohli (Mister Mummy - Chupke Chupke), and Vishal Chandrashekhar (Sita Ramam - Inthandam/Karmugil, Eppudu Ninnu)...
