  • The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) orders Meta to sell GIPHY, which it acquired in May 2020, saying the takeover "could allow Meta to limit other social media platforms' access to GIFs, making those sites less attractive to users and less competitive"; marks the first time a global regulator has unwound a completed deal by a Big Tech company.
