  • Google begins accepting requests to remove Search results that include users' contact info, like physical addresses, phone numbers, and emails, and login credentials.
  • Google says it blocked 1.2 million apps that violated its policies from being published on the Play Store in 2021, banned 190,000 developer accounts for malicious behaviour, and closed around 500,000 developer accounts that are inactive or abandoned.
  • Meta's WhatsApp attempts compete with rivals Google Pay and PhonePe with cashback rewards in India to lure more customers to its P2P payments service, alongside incentives for merchants.
