Listen: Lucy Dacus' "Thumbs"

Lucy Dacus' previous solo release Historian may have been three years ago, but she has been busy churning out music in collaboration with her boygenius pals Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker on their latest albums as well as with Hamilton Leithauser (Isabella) and Hayley Williams (Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris) in her solo debut album Petals for Armor released last year. While there is no word yet on her upcoming outing, the singer and songwriter has shared a new song called Thumbs that she previously performed in 2018, a sparse and hauntingly beautiful slow-burner that downplays the instrumentation in favour of a delicate melodic touch that belies its heart-breaking core.
