Music Review: Mahabalipuram (Tamil)
Composer(s): K

Violins (no surprises here given K's predeliction for the instrument) and Haricharan go wonderfully hand in hand in the gorgeous Ilaiyaraaja'esque melody Athaadi Yenna Solla, while composer D. Imman and Shakthisree Gopalan rule the pleasant Usrey Nee. Anantha Thendral rides on Aalaap Raju's ever dependable vocals, the tune itself simple, yet very easy on the ears. Sethey Ponendi's rap melody fusion and Kudiya Vedu's folk hip-hop mix however barely work. K finds himself in much better form with Mahabalipuram.
