Music Review: Jeeva (Tamil)
Composer(s): D. Imman

Pleasantly reminiscent of Ilaiyaraaja's compositions, Ovvundraai Thirudugiraai is beautifully composed and well-sung by Karthik and Bhavya Pandit. Andony Daasan, as usual, perks up the proceedings in the brassy cum retro-styled Oru Rosa, while Oruthi Maelae, the best of the soundtrack, sees Abhay Jodhpurkar in top form alongside a phenomenal chorus from El Fé Choir. That mouth organ in the background adds a nice touch too. Sangi Mangi mixes an array of sounds and yet stays quite catchy, the composer adding his signature touches all throughout the number. Singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam's impactful singing powers the Carnatic-based pathos Engae Ponaai, as the album draws to a close in an yet another Raja'ish and immensely enjoyable melody Naetru Naan. D. Imman continues his admirable run with Jeeva!
