Music Review: Aadhi Bhagavan

Sung by Udit Narayan and Shweta Pandit, Kaatriley Nadanthene works very well as a lilting melody, while Sharib Sabri and Shreya Ghoshal's vocals work their magic in the captivating semi-classical fusion Oru Thuli Vishamai. Yaavum Poithaanaa is too similar to Idhayam (Billa 2, Yuvan Shankar Raja) orchestration-wise, but nevertheless makes for a splendid listen in Madhushree's beautiful singing. Addictive and interestingly composed, Bhagavan Rap Song oozes swag, even as the kids chorus emerges the song's highlight. On the other hand, Eisalaamey Eisalaam and Agadam Bagadam sound more situational, failing to stand out on their own despite the lovely arrangements Yuvan adorns them with. An endless spate of successive disasters later, Yuvan redeems himself with a superlative soundtrack in Aadhi Bhagavan.
