Paris Under Seige

More than 120 people have died and 200 others injured in what's seen as a wave of coordinated suicide bomb attacks in Paris, prompting the French president, François Hollande, to declare a state of emergency and rein in the country's borders. Notorious terrorist outfit Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they were in response to French air strikes against its militants in Syria. 2015 couldn't have started on a more worse note for France, which had to endure the deadly Charlie Hebdo shootings early this January, and now looking back, it seems as if the worst was yet to come. Indeed a sad, traumatic reminder of the post-9/11 era we live in.
