Music Review: Malayankunju (Malayalam)
Composer(s): A. R. Rahman, Nakul Abhyankar (Music Supervisor)

Vijay Yesudas is in his element in Cholappenne, a mellow Rahman-esque melody that's adorned with a mesmerising amalgamation of flute, guitars, morsing and nadaswaram. The tune is a slow serenade as it is tender and exquisite. The composer anchors Mannum Niranje with vibrant folk hues and is as much a showcase for Shweta Mohan's dexterous singing as it's of Abhay Sopori's santoor. A. R. Rahman concocts a delightful cornucopia of traditional sounds in Malayankunju.
