Music Review: Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu
Yem Cheddaam, in Ranjith, Karthik and Sreerama Chandra's energetic vocals, is peppy and powerful, while the lilting Aaraduguluntada is very much ear-pleasing in Kalyani's pitch-perfect rendition. The slow, yet enchanting, title song, sung fabulously by K. S. Chithra, is doubtless delightful, even as Rahul Nambiar and Shweta Pandit rock the bouncy and incredibly catchy Inka Cheppaale. Sreerama Chandra delivers well the mellifluous Mari Antaga, and in the celebratory Vaana Chinukulu, Karthik and Anjana Sowmya manage to rise above the overall templatized arrangement. The mellow folk piece Meghaallo gets everything right, with singers Karthik and Sreerama Chandra lending fabulous vocal support. Mickey J. Meyer is on my playlist after a long gap of more than 4 years (Hello Happy Days!)and he doesn't disappoint. Devoid of all the usual loud commercial fare, the soundtrack jells in well with the family drama that Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu promises to offer.
