Music Review: Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen
The sequel to the 2010 box-office hit Housefull trades Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy in favour of Sajid-Wajid. But the results remain the same, sadly. Papa Toh Band Bajaye is Pritam'ishly peppy but offers nothing new that one hasn't heard. The intermittent harmonica clarinet portions are quite interesting though and Neeraj Shridhar aces through the track in his signature style. Clearly in an attempt to recreate Munni Badnaam from Dabangg, the composers have roped in Mamta Sharma, along with Sukhwinder Singh, to croon the item song Anarkali. In comparison, Dhanno, the item number in the original, sounds way better. The remaining two tracks Right Now Now (Wajid, Sunidhi Chauhan, Suzzane) and Do U Know (Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal) are best avoidable. Save for the passable Band Bajaye, Sajid-Wajid's H2 fails to pass muster!
