Music Review: Run Antony (Kannada)
Composer(s): Manikanth Kadri

Puneeth Rajkumar is not the best singer around, but Manikanth Kadri neatly works around the actor-singer's rough edges for an appealingly orchestrated semi-classical fusion Jhanak Jhanak. Loaded with hindustani classical flourishes, Supriya Lohith, accompanied by Soham Chakraborty, sounds as lilting as ever in the beautifully-tuned Marula, while Javed Ali adeptly croons the tailor-made free-flowing melody Summane. Kanna Kareyu sees Soham and Yazin Nizar delivering well on the vocal front, as is Manikanth who spellbinds with an exquisite sufi composition. Run Run Run's gripping rock-infused classical tune gets fantastic support from Divya Kumar and Varijashree Venugopal, but Run Antony Yuva Mash Up feels weak and unnecessarily tacked on for no reason. Manikanth Kadri has been consistently churning out quality music in Kannada, and Run Antony is no exception.
