Music Review: Saala Khadoos (Hindi)
Composer(s): Santhosh Narayanan

The title song is one helluva punchy anthem, made all the more impactful by Vishal Dadlani's rocking vocals. Dadlani's other song Jagaa Khunnas is aptly grungy, while Dil Ye Ladaku rides on the composer's trademark violins, with Monali Thakur's fabulous voice and some nifty beatboxing to give company. Jhalli Patakha sees Sunidhi Chauhan leading on the vocal front, but Santhosh keeps things interesting by giving the slightly jazzy tune a pucca kuthu (aka Tamil folk) makeover. The composer's staple Kalyani Nair too makes an appearance in Dhuaan Hai Dhuaan Zindagi, a string-laden melody that's once again his signature style. With Saala Khadoos, Santhosh Narayanan finally breaks out of Kollywood.
