Listen: U2's "Ahimsa" ft. A. R. Rahman
Bono-led Dublin rock out U2 have released their first material since 2017's Songs of Experience and it's a collaboration with Indian composer A. R. Rahman. Titled Ahimsa — meaning non-violence — the very Coldplay'ish melody opens with a serene Tirukkural verse — sung by Rahman's daughters Khatija and Raheema — before segueing into mellow pop-edged territory, expanding the sonic spectrum to include subdued electronic and acoustic elements.
