Music Review: Holiday (Hindi)

Lead vocalist Arijit Singh is his dependable self in the pleasant melody Aaj Dil Shayarana, while Benny Dayal and Kunal Ganjawala rock the peppy electro-pop number Tu Hi To Hai with the interestingly done violins in the background adding a nice touch to the tune. Ashq Na Ho is mostly minimalist and solely focuses on Arijit's heartfelt rendition, even as the catchy Google Google equivalent Blame the Night (Arijit Singh, Aditi Singh Sharma, Piyush Kapoor) molds the techno-pop template to perfection. Palang Tod (Mika Singh, Ritu Pathak), appearing in two versions, is a techno-folk fusion and is just about adequate. Pritam treads the familiar route with Holiday, the result at any rate being much better than its original.
