Music Review: Thambi Vettothi Sundaram

After what was an outstanding period outing Ilaignan, Vidyasagar is back once more with his unique Carnatic-based melodies in Thambi Vettothi Sundaram. Kolaikkara, sung by Karthik and Kalyani, samples his own Neelathamara's Anuraga Vilochananayi orchestration-wise but the effect is stunning all the same. Madhu Balakrishnan and Binny Krishnakumar join hands for Netru Illai Illai, another fantastic melody that makes the cut. Time and again, Vidyasagar proves that melody is his forte in his own trademark style.
