Movie Review: Cars 2

Pixar's Cars 2 is a decently entertaining thrill ride but overall lacks the emotional punch of Toy Story 3, How To Train Your Dragon, Ice Age and Kung Fu Panda. As a blend of car races, an amateur 007-like spy thriller and trite slapstick low-brow humour, the movie makes for a curious case of anthropomorphism, but the eye-popping visuals and a vaguely interesting plot ultimately redeems it from being an outright disaster.
