Vera Level Sago is characterized by a lively assortment of sounds, replete with nadaswaram and thavil, in a way that evokes memories of Maduraikku Pogathadee (Azhagiya Tamil Magan) and Aalaporaan Thamizhan (Mersal), but the tune itself is a let down, coming off as too busy for its own good. Ayalaa Ayalaa and Suro Suro lean heavily on electronic effects to coast along, with the latter's insistent groove making for a catchy listen, even if I am not quite on board with Mohit Chauhan as the singer. Maanja Nee, led by A. R. Ameen, is bouncy reggae and propelled along by a driving rhythmic current, while Chella Rangi works well as a jazzy, acoustic melody in the voices of Sanjith Hegde and Shashaa Tirupati. Ayalaan is easy on the ears, but the musical palette lacks a punch.
