Dil Melt Karda finds Amit Trivedi perfecting his Punjabi-folk template with foot-tapping results, even as Navraj Hans and Nikhita Gandhi cash in with their lively vocals, lending it an ebullient sheen. In Phisal Jaa Tu, sung by Abhijeet Srivastava, Trivedi weaves a warm cocoon of electronic-leaning sound that's eminently listenable, while Milaa Yun (and its slow version) coasts along a captivating rock-infused tune and a soaring chorus that's well complemented by the vocal firepower of Yashita Sharma and Abhay Jodhpurkar. A subtle yet soothing melody with intricate classical interludes, Lakeeran's mellow sonic landscape is reflected in the mild arrangements and an effortless rendition from Asees Kaur and Devenderpal Singh. Haseen Dillruba comes with Amit Trivedi's usual bells and whistles, but there's no doubting that the songs have been written with an exceptional eye for melody and texture.
